According to Rosenthal & Sorka in the book Managed Vision Care; published by the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, Inc., 60% of employees surveyed said they would trade two days of vacation for an annual eye examination and pair of eyeglasses.
According to the Optical Manufacturers Association more than 30% of eyewear purchases are now paid for, at least in part, by employer sponsored programs.

Over 155 million Americans need corrective lenses, yet less that 93 million purchase them regularly
Numbers will significantly increase over time because of computer use - "computer vision syndrome" costs employers $2 billion a year in diagnosis and treatment
