Term Life Insurance

Term Life insurance is a life insurance plan with a set duration for the length of time that the policy will last. The lengths are normally multiples of 5: 5 year, 10 year, 20 year, 30 year, etc.

Your premium (payment) is determined by factoring in your age and health. If you are younger and in better health, you will pay less than somebody older and in poorer health.

A death benefit is paid to the designated beneficiary of the policy if the insured dies within the policy period.

Term life is generally the most affordable and cost effective life insurance option.

Universal Life Insurance

Universal life insurance is a type of life insurance that accumulates a cash value. This cash value grows tax free until it is withdrawn.

Cash Value Life Insurance also allows you to take loans against the insurance policy, with the interest on the loans being paid back to the insurance company.

Many successful business, and institutions, have been started or saved because their founders took loans against their cash value life insurance plans. Some examples include: Walt Disney (Disneyland), Ray Kroc (McDonalds), Leland Stanford (Stanford University), James Cash Penney (J.C.
