Calorie Diet = Lose Pals

Did you know that cutting calories causes your level of serotonin (a feel-good brain chemical) to plummet downwards? A calorie diet is not always the best approach. Without enough serotonin you start to become irritable and unpleasant to be around. This would explain why your friends probably vanish when you announce you are starting a new diet! In order to keep your serotonin levels up then you need to figure out how many calories your body needs to take in based on your daily activities. It’s also important to make sure that any calorie diet is split evenly between proteins, whole grains, and produces. Unbalanced meals made entirely of refined carbs cause your blood-sugar levels to fluctuate turning you into Oscar the Grouch. Research has shown that adding omega-3 fatty acids to your diet helps fight off signs of depression and also slows down your digestion process leaving you fuller longer. You can do this by adding salmon, a tablespoon of olive oil, canola oil or flaxseeds into your daily meals just a few times a week. So be happy, lose weight & keep your friends!
